IT Setup & Support

Something needs setting up.
Or it needs fixing.

You do not need to know what the problem is called. Tell me what you are trying to do, what is happening instead, and what equipment or software you use. We can work out a sensible next step.

A single computer problem is a valid reason to get in touch. I can also help with an agreed set of ongoing responsibilities or a particular task alongside your existing IT provider.

WHAT I CAN HELP WITH

Start with the
work you need.

Computer & software setup

Install and configure tools, connect supported devices, and make the everyday setup understandable.

Troubleshooting

Investigate software, resource-use, device-connection, and configuration problems, with particular experience in Linux environments.

Files, moves & backups

Help plan file organization, moves between setups, and backup arrangements. Agree what needs preserving and how to check it before changing anything.

Linux & self-hosted tools

Configure local applications and services, work through startup or dependency problems, and document how to use and maintain the setup.

RELEVANT WORK

See the approach
in practice.

My Linux workstation utilities and diagnostic tooling show the technical foundation for this service. These are my own tools and development work, not customer support case studies.

Ongoing development

Workstation tools

Device discovery, desktop automation, service lifecycle controls, and targeted upstream compatibility work.

My own Linux workstation configuration and utilities cover software setup, device discovery, desktop automation, and service lifecycle controls. Local extensions and compatibility patches build on upstream software. Configuration remains partly host-specific; this is development and setup evidence, not a customer support history.

In development

Stasis

A Linux diagnostics dashboard connecting resource use to processes, services, and applications.

Separate metric and process-sampling paths support a dashboard that helps identify what is using resources. Current telemetry accuracy and live control behavior still need verification.

HOW I APPROACH IT

A clear scope.
A useful result.

Describe the problem

Start with the symptoms or the setup you want. We confirm the tools involved and whether the job fits my experience.

Agree on the changes

Set the scope, access, responsibilities, and approach to preserving existing files and settings.

Check it together

Verify the agreed result and explain the setup, any remaining issue, and the next steps in plain language.

WORKING TOGETHER

Hire me for this.

Help can be a one-off setup or fix, or ongoing work with agreed responsibilities and availability. The tools, access arrangements, and any further support are discussed for your situation.
